Food of the day

14/04/14

Breakfast - Soy yogurt, muesli, seeds, banana, raspberries, cup of tea with almond milk

Lunch - smoked tofu, falafal, spinach and broccoli sandwhich on high protein multiseed bread, with a tiny bit of vitalite (vegan sunflower spread).

Dinner - more of the take away curry, an alpro dark chocolate soya dessert and 5 fresh baby figs (I subsequently discovered that I am allergic to figs).

Snacks - mixed nuts and some dried apricots

We also had wine training at work, so i tried 8 different wines, plus 2 small glasses of home brew beer made by another member of staff (it was delicious!!)

Kinda bummed about the fig allergy, I’d never had fresh figs before and they were really tasty. I got them reduced price at the supermarket so they were super ripe.

I had a trial shift at my favourite bar last night and they have given me the job. I am beyond happy right now!

The only bad news is that I’ve been trying to drink less alcohol so working at a bar is maybe not the best. However, they only serve high quality vegan craft beers, at premium prices (often about £4 for a 1/3 of a pint!). So I feel less guilty drinking small amounts of delicious craft beers each day, rather than binge drinking ridiculous amounts of cheap cider 3/4 days a week (old bad habits). I feel like I’m still making a healthier choice for myself.
